Requesting Prayer

I plan to post on this week's chapter from Behind Those Eyes later this week.

Right now I must focus on praying for the people being affected by activities going on for my company's merger.

I am simply sick because I know some of these people. I am praying for them.

I pray I do not become one of them. That seems completely selfish but I must think of my family.

Please join me in praying for the families affected. God's will be done and may they know He is sovereign and will work it for good. For some that may be to get to know Him for the first time. For others it will be to draw them closer to Him.

Whatever the case, please pray.

Hi Mari,

I love you to death, girl! I'm so sorry for this time of stress. Here is my prayer for you and your colleagues.

Lord Jesus,

In this time in history, our economy is downright scary! Please, Lord, fill Mari's heart with complete God-confidence that You will hold her in the palm of Your hand through this no matter the outcome. Use this situation for Your glory. Use Mari to point her worried colleagues to You. Give her opportunities to share some of what she has in mind for her book about thriving through a time of unemployment. Let Mari see a glimpse of what You are doing every single day. Fill her heart with joy that she gets to take part in Your plan. Calm her anxious heart, and let her feel that peace that passes all understanding. In Jesus' Name I pray, AMEN

Mari---that doesn't seem selfish at all...you are doing what any parent would do! I would do the very same! You have to cover your family with prayers of being able to supply their needs as the Lord supplies through you. And that's what He does. Everday.

Your blog is such a huge blessing!
