This Broken Vessel Restored Book Blog Tour

Devotional Reflections from the Bible
with Paulette Harper

Women Who Praise

“When Pharaoh drew near, the Israelites looked up, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them; and the Israelites were exceedingly frightened and cried out to the Lord.”

“Moses told the people, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians you have seen today you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.” Exodus 14: 10-14 AMP

“Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women went out after her with timbrels and dancing. And Miriam responded to them, Sing to the Lord, for He has triumphed gloriously and is highly exalted; the horse and his rider He has thrown into the sea.” Exodus 15:20-21 AMP

In this story we read that the Egyptians were in hot pursuit of the children of Israel. They wanted nothing less but to kill them off, man, woman boy and girl. But regardless of the desire of Pharaoh and his army God had a great plan of deliverance. There is nothing more fearful than to be pursued by those who hate you, want to harm you and those that want to kill you. But what about all those bills that keep coming, that mortgage you can’t seem to pay because you just got your lay off slip, the kids wanting and needing new shoes or clothes, oh yeah did I fell to mention the car that needs a tune up! And these things are happening all at once.

Overwhelmed, stressed and felling of anxiety. Don’t worry, God has everything under control.

You might think I don’t know what I talking about, but I do. Not long ago I went through one of the most devastating times in my life. The pharaoh that was pursuing me was called divorce. I have learned as a child of God the purpose and power of praise. Sometimes we can be more focused on our problems we forget the person that has the ability to bring deliverance to us. God tells the children of Israel not to be fearful but be firm, confident and undismayed, why because God was about to show Himself big, mighty and strong on their behalf.

While facing the enemy divorce and using my tools of warfare, God delivered me in ways that were beyond my imagination. I stand today rejoicing in the God of my salvation because He fought my battles and I’m living a great life full of rest and peace.

Devote this day, regardless of what is pursuing you, to give God praise. You will see your enemies defeated this day right before your eyes. God will triumph gloriously.
